We’ve enhanced the operational performance of our versatile SERVOPRO Chroma trace gas analysis to provide lower detection levels for impurities.
The Chroma uses Gas Chromatography (GC) techniques to deliver versatile gas purity measurements, and can be optimized with a choice of Servomex sensing technologies for a wide range of applications.
Depending on the process, it can be fitted with Flame Ionization Detector (FID) or Thermal Conductivity Detector (TCD) sensing technologies, or Servomex’s unique, non-depleting Plasma Emission Detector (PED) sensor.
Now, measurements made using the innovative PED offer significantly improved Lower Detection Limits (LDL) for the impurities nitrogen (N2), hydrogen (H2), oxygen (O2), argon (Ar), methane, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide (CO2) and non-methane hydrocarbons.
These measurements can be made in a wide range of background gases, including helium, argon, N2, O2, H2, and CO2.
For example, N2 impurities in O2 were previously measured with an LDL of 50 parts-per-billion (ppb). The improved Chroma now offers an LDL of 5ppb for this measurement.
Similarly, measurements of O2 in H2 have gone from an LDL of 50ppb to 25ppb.
