Regional Sales Manager

Overview of the Opportunity:

We are searching for an accomplished and high performing sales professional to joint one of our fast-growing European territories. This opportunity will suit a tenacious and driven individual who thrives when finding solutions to our customers’ complex challenges. Reporting to the EMEA Sales Manager, the Regional Sales Manager will nurture, grow and manage sales channels and distributor relationships, whilst consistently analysing our industry sector to identify new customers and offer solutions to their most challenging real-world problems.

About the role:

  • To deliver sales objectives for the targeted key accounts as part of the assigned territories sales plan
  • Develop and maintain strategic long-term relationships with key accounts to accomplish organic growth and long-term company objectives
  • Manage and develop a business plan and sales strategy for the targeted key accounts and direct sales, in line with monthly and quarterly sales objectives
  • Grow the agent and distributor network, ensuring that appropriate partners are in place to serve the key accounts and that they receive regular training and guidance on selling Servomex products
  • Work in close co-ordination with these channel partners to establish individual sales objectives in line with the company’s business plan
  • Establish, develop and target markets, key application areas and customers in conjunction with marketing; providing regular customer and market feedback to stakeholders
  • Maintain technical, product and professional knowledge by attending training where relevant
  • Acting with the highest degree of integrity always, to customers, stakeholders and colleagues
  • To arrange customer visits, seminars, symposia, conferences and other events as and when required in order to develop new sales opportunities for Servomex

About your Talent:

  • An exceptional sales professional with a proven track record of growing business and exceeding sales targets within the gas analysis / or closely related instrumentation industry
  • Knowledge and experience in petrochemical, heavy Industry, power, steel, marine, semiconductor, industrial gas market
  • Demonstrable experience of successful execution of complex sales and negotiations that reflects a clear ability to hunt within a sales territory and build strong relationships with key client stakeholders in market data, business groups, technology and product management
  • KAM (key account management) experience with large national and international accounts
  • Strong capability to develop and manage sales channel and distributors as well as proven project hunting capability
  • Entrepreneurial can-do attitude, with a strategic mindset and demonstrating integrity always
  • Willingness to travel. This is a remote (home-based) opportunity with frequent travel across Europe and occasional travel to South Africa / other destinations
  • Business English and fluency in another European language
  • A degree (or equivalent) in a technical discipline (electronics/instrumentation/chemical)
  • Previous experience of ensuring compliance via utilisation of CRM system, specifically salesforce.com would be a distinct advantage
