The Senior Project Manager, reporting to the Global Head of Project Office will take pride in significantly contributing to process improvement initiatives, whilst working closely with our business stakeholders to define and achieve our shared customers’ goals of solving real-world problems.
Manage a portfolio of complex global initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business
Provide on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
Full project life cycle ownership and project delivery; including full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously
Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives
Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities
Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership; manage project scope and changes
Manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues
Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations to various audiences, including project team, sponsors, and key stakeholders
Manage project and program issues and risks to mitigate impact to baseline
Extensive understanding of project and program management principles, methods and techniques
A proven track record of significant project management/delivery across a breadth of services and products, preferably within a related sector. Including tracking and planning projects that consistently deliver to target
Commercially astute, with extensive experience of working effectively in partnership with multiple work-streams within a cross-functional environment, ensuring delivery against commitments are achieved whilst working collaboratively
Demonstrable experience of full product lifecycle with understanding of development lifecycle and various technology methodologies that support this
Proactively monitoring and controlling project costs against budget and progress against plan; consistently identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues where appropriate
Demonstrated experience across all phases of New Product Introduction (NPI)/ business/process change
Outstanding communication skills, with the natural ability to convey complex ideas simply in various formats, suitable to audiences of all levels
Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations
Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
Natural ability to build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectives
Degree (or equivalent) in engineering or technology / business management disciplines
Qualification in project management (e.g. APMP, Prince II practitioner) would be a distinct advantage as would membership of a recognised body / chartered status (or plan to achieve this)
