Finance Business Partner

To partner with operational leads and management teams to provide insight into global business profitability to drive future performance for two business units within the Servomex Group.

The Finance Business Partner will play a key role in the delivery of the business’s budget, financial management information and analysis which will allow Servomex to drive forward with an exciting programme of growth and expansion.

About the Role:

  • Acting as a trusted and visible partner who can challenge business leaders on the preparation of business cases across Servomex business units (BU) to drive our strategic vision
  • Responsible for BU monthly forecast, annual budget, strategic review planning process submission and BU strategy document
  • Partner and support in projects including product launches, competitor/sector analysis and format strategy
  • Making recommendations to business leaders to ensure delivery of contractual obligations through identification of under and over delivery
  • Complete the analytics required for any identified performance issues, including product pricing and discounting analysis, material cost analysis
  • providing commercial and financial decision support, including responsibility for submission of BU data into Summit and preparation of monthly BU reporting pack, including performing root cause analysis
  • Responsible for the maintenance, update and distribution of cost centre overhead reports (including headcount detail)
  • Responsible for Financial control in the BU on authority sign offs & process control
  • Driving strategy into action through partnering and supporting BU sales pipeline and forecasting
  • Reporting of actuals, forecast and analysis to leadership teams
  • Provide oversight & sign-off of all BU incentive plan calculations, including counter signature for all BU spend – PO’s, capex etc. whilst acting as a point of contact finance queries
  • Point of contact for any internal audit activity and BU capex activity and controlling the overhead base

About your Talent:

  • Proven experience of working in a commercial or analytical environment supporting and influencing all levels of an organisation, ideally within a global environment
  • Experience with forecasting and financial planning, confident dealing with large volumes of data, identifying trends and key points
  • Proven track record of providing in-depth variance analysis and financial / business modelling and report writing
  • An analytical and critical thinker who can exercise judgment with a natural aptitude for problem solving and decision making
  • Ability to manage foreign exchange transactions and translation
  • The commercial acumen to challenge decisions and provide meaningful insight
  • Credibility and perseverance to influence key stakeholders, including presenting to leadership teams Advanced Excel and strong technical knowledge of MS office
  • It would be desirable for the right candidate to be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) or to be currently studying toward this qualification
