Looking to further your career within payroll? We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented Payroll Manager at our UK technical site in Crowborough, East Sussex.
This position sits within our highly skilled Finance team and reports into the Finance Manager.
The Payroll Manager will have ownership and responsibility for ensuring the smooth and effective processing of the Servomex UK & EMEAI payroll activities including: producing accurate and timely payroll reports and monthly accounting, manage outsourced payroll vendor relationships, Perform year-end reporting for all payrolls, including liaison with external stakeholders on timely and accurate submission of tax, insurance and benefit data.

About the role:
• To ensure payroll is run in a timely and efficient manner to meet the requirements of Servomex
• To make all returns, as required, to HMRC, Pensions administrator and other requirements
• To update the General Ledger and maintain control account reconciliations for payroll.
• To perform the payroll year end and provide all statutory returns and forms.
• To complete P11D, NI Class 1a information, PAYE settlements and dispensations for employees and tax authorities.
• To maintain the Fixed Assets register, and the relevant reconciliations to the General Ledger.
• To create Inter Company Invoices for the group and to ensure that all invoices post on both ledgers.
• To maintain control accounts for petty cash, foreign currency and staff advances
• Critically review existing payroll in collaboration with HR and Finance where appropriate making practical and value-added recommendations.
• Provide high quality advice on payroll related matters, responding to queries and liaising with departmental managers, staff, HR, Finance and Inland Revenue as necessary.

About You:
Essential Skills, Experience and Education:

• Proven experience of managing and running payroll for multi-site staff
• In-depth understanding of PAYE, NI, statutory pay and another payroll legislation
• An excellent understanding and working knowledge of payroll systems
• Must have experience of using ADP Freedom.
• Experience of using Workday would be advantageous
• Being attentive to detail and understand complex information.

• Problem solving abilities and logical thinking.
• Good time management skills.

Desirable Education/ professional qualifications:

It would be advantageous to be qualified in one of the following: -
• AAT Level 2 and 3 Certificated in Payroll Administration, Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals Level 1, IAB Level 1 and 2 Certificate in Payroll, IAB Level 3 Certificate in Bookkeeping, or a Diploma of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers or Level 3 in Payroll management.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday (Flexible start & finish times)

Salary: £30,000- £35,000 dependant on skills and experience
