Servomex, the world leader in gas analysis is currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer based in our UK technical centre in Crowborough, East Sussex.
This is a full-time permanent role

The Manufacturing Engineer will establish and update production lines including the development of appropriate jigs and fixtures

Key Responsibilities will include

  • Working with Engineering to ensure products are manufacturable.
  • Working with Project Teams to develop & deliver manufacturing plans for NPI.
  • Working with Manufacturing to establish lean production lines.
  • Designing, building & commissioning jigs & fixtures.
  • Managing suppliers and sub-contractors
  • Ensuring production equipment is properly maintained.
  • Providing training to production staff on the use of jigs & fixtures.
  • Developing Production line SOPs.
  • Developing TPMs
  • Actively contributing to a supportive, ethical work environment.
  • Working to existing quality and technical standards and processes whilst supporting continuous improvement

Candidate specification

  • HND level education
  • Proven track record in NPI Introduction of High Value, Low Volume Products.
  • Good Communication skills.
  • Ability to plan work & deliver on time.
  • Confident working with minimal supervision.

It would also be advantageous to have a working knowledge of

  • Machinery Directive
  • PFMEAs
  • Establishment and maintenance of TPMs
