Passionate about Health & Safety? We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Support Manager at our technical site in Crowborough, East Sussex.

This position sits within Global Operations and reports into the Global HSE Manager. The HSE Manager will support HSE compliance activities, provide training and support to our employees as well developing standardisation across our global business. They will work hand in hand with the Global HSE Manager to drive a step change in the safety culture across the business contributing to improved safety performance.

About the role:

• Support 18001, 14001 compliance activities (audits and closure of non-conformities)

• Support migration activities towards 45001 compliance

• Key lead in verification of HSE legal compliance

• Act as HSE competent person

• Development of HSE training material/platform

• Support development of existing HSE management system, including move towards an integrated management system and the development of a safety culture

• Support closure of and validation of business continuity plan and the development of existing Global HSE manager

About You:

Essential Skills, Experience and Education:

• Significant experience in a health, safety and environmental management role, ideally within manufacturing/process industries

• Understanding and application of DSEAR and COMAH regulations (ideally with compressed gas experience)

• NEBOSH qualified, with professional membership to IOSH or IIRSM

• Solid understanding ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification and experience of maintaining compliance

• Lead auditor trained for ISO 14001 and or ISO 45001

• Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and influence others in conjunction with excellent report writing skills

Desirable Skills, Experience and Education:

• Experience of developing a tailored HSE management system, including migration to a fully integrated management system

• Experience of developing an HSE training platform

• Behavioural management background

• Train the trainer skills

• IEMA membership
