Project Manager (Compliance) 16hrs/week

We are currently searching for a talented and experienced Project Manager to take responsibility for end-to-end delivery of assigned projects, from approval through to delivery and project closure. The successful candidate will drive progress throughout the project lifecycle by providing focus for the team and stakeholders, tracking project plans and working to identify and resolve issues and blockages that arise.

About the Role:

  • Manage the delivery of compliance projects including all cross functional activities and certification to enable on-time delivery (RoHS III project)
  • Support Material compliance assessment aspect of the project
  • Maintaining project schedules including all team tasks and allocated resources
  • Run regular project team meetings to drive and coordinate project execution on time and in line with cost targets
  • Maintain close control of project scope and drive specification compliance
  • Manage risks through effective risk identification, mitigation and timely escalation
  • Day to day coordination of project personnel, working closely with departmental leaders to ensure required staffing levels are provided
  • Ensure process compliance through achievable, detailed planning and communication
  • Provide accurate and timely project status information, milestones and metrics to managers as part of regular reports and project reviews
  • Track project budgets according to plan including subcontract expenditure, travel, materials.
  • Maintain mitigation and recovery plan in the event of schedule or costs being out of line with plan addressing the route cause

About you:

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience performing in a project management position leading multi-disciplinary teams preferably within a technical environment
  • Understanding of regulatory bodies and product certification
  • Demonstrated experience across all phases of the project lifecycle
  • Experienced in use of standard project management tools such as Microsoft Project

Desirable Skills, Experience and Education:

  • Knowledge of RoHS or REACH Legislation
  • Experience of other Material Compliance work. (POP’s, CLP or Dangerous Goods)
  • Management of Supplier Declarations of Conformity, Reports and Drawings
  • Working with Supply Chain, Supplier and Quality systems
  • Experience in SAP Business System
  • Experience in MS Excel

Location: Crowborough, East Sussex, UK (Remote working will be considered for this contract, however onboarding/training will need to take place onsite at our UKTC in Crowborough)

Job Type: Up to 12-month contract. We are open to considering candidates on either a consultancy basis or fixed term employment contract.

Work Schedule: 16 hours per week
