The new centre, based in São Paulo, will give customers direct access to Servomex’s world-leading range of gas analyser products and solutions, delivering a competitive approach to product acquisition and service support for the Brazilian market. Servomex will be able to work more closely and effectively with customers, complementing each customer project with the most appropriate gas analysis solution for their need. Local customers will have the option of purchasing in local or foreign currency, as well as utilising commercial and technical documents available in either English or Portuguese.

In establishing a dedicated support centre, Servomex will be able deliver high standards of service on a ‘local-for-local’ basis to meet customer requirements in the region, further supported by Servomex’s global team of experts.  Servomex’s comprehensive aftersales and field support initiatives means customers will benefit from new alternatives to the traditional methods for maintaining Servomex equipment: a new series of service contracts will offer discounts for replacement parts and 24-hour support, while a new laboratory facility will handle all in-house repairs and preventative maintenance. As a result, customers will benefit from improved lifespan for their analyser and enjoy reduced cost of total ownership.

Servomex is also pleased to announce Pensalab as the exclusive representative of Servomex products to Petrobras, one of the world’s leading energy companies. A provider of industry-leading laboratory, analytical and online applications based in São Paulo’s Perdizes area, with offices in Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul and Bahia, Pensalab’s progressive and supportive ethos will complement Servomex’s increased visibility, with the two companies working together to position themselves as the ideal resource to support Petrobras in various projects throughout Brazil.

This purpose-built facility, opened in November 2008, will enable the GC and Plasma technology to be further developed and enhanced through a range of advanced manufacturing processes, including a state-of-the-art clean room facility.

Customers will also benefit from improved sales and support processes, including efficient turnaround for orders and service requirements. An expanded scope of expertise and advice will be available from Servomex’s technical team, whose knowledge base will be boosted by the relocation of all the key members of the current Plasma technology technical team to the Technical Centre.

Servomex’s GC and Plasma analyser technologies were acquired as part of the purchase of Contrôle Analytique in September 2007. The range currently includes the SERVOPRO FID for measurement of total hydrocarbons in air, nitrogen, oxygen and argon, the SERVOPRO Plasma (k2001) for the ppm to ppb measurement of nitrogen in argon or helium and the SERVOPRO Chroma (k4000) for trace impurity measurements in a variety of gases. Key applications for the Chroma include air separation, process optimisation and quality control.
